Zack's Chili is super flexible. You can start it in the crockpot once the beef, onion and garlic are sauteed in a pan. Just add cooked items to crock pot and add the rest. Cook on low and it will be ready once warmed through. You can keep it on warm all afternoon until everyone is ready to eat so you have time to get back to relaxing.
Or you can do it all on the stovetop in a deep pot. Warm through and it's ready or keep on low 30min-1 hour before everyone is ready to eat. You can even add technology like us kitchen geeks so it can cook on low for awhile without scorching.
It's battery powered too! High-five!
Serve with shredded cheddar. Use this first so it will be a delicious melty layer of cheese. Add a sprinkle of diced raw white onion, all the jalapenos you can stand (raw or canned), a spoonful of sourcream. I added Fritos to this glorious concoction. Scoops are my fave! ❤ Lastly, beer. Must have beer.
