Blueberry Meyer Lemon Vanilla Sugar

It's 70 degrees F in early Feb so I'm enjoying this rare temp on my side porch, swinging on my porch swing and enjoying some hot tea. The Blueberry Meyer Lemon Vanilla Sugar is a wonderful addition to the rim. I'm enjoying every sip with a fresh taste of the flavor infused sugar. It's beyond delicious!! The birds are singing their beautiful songs and my children are playing in the sun, giggling and imagining how to be protect The Queen aka Mom. 😉 In a few short days it will back down to 18 degrees F and we will be back to spending our evenings inside so I will enjoy my sugar infusion in a bourbon drink by the fire!!!

INGREDIENTS:
2 cups sugar
4 TBS freeze dried blueberries, mashed
2 TBS freeze dried blueberries, whole
1 TBS meyer lemon zest
2 tsp meyer lemon juice
2 tsp Madagascar Vanilla Powder

Preheat oven to 150 degrees F. In a bowl add freeze dried blueberries and smash with a mortar. Leave some chunky bits. Add meyer lemon zest and juice and stir. Add sugar and Madagascar Vanilla Powder and stir until well incorporated and evenly purple. Pour on a cookie sheet, cover with wax paper and add to oven. Every 15 minutes pull cookie sheet out of oven, stir and return back to oven. Cook for a total of 1 hour. Cool. Add 2 TBS of whole freeze dried blueberries and mix in. Store in an airtight container.
